I just posted the article Zune MP3s no longer require Microsoft Points.

Microsoft has removed one cumbersome step from its Zune online music store by letting people pay for MP3s with a credit card.

Paying with actual money is always easier. I too don’t like having to pay for 1000 MS Points to buy a game that costs 800.

Not a new concept, prepay mobile phone plans have this issue constantly.

Except with those phones you can use up all of your credits, unlike the MS Points system in a lot of cases. I’m stuck with 190 points right now, just below the price of most DLC that I’d buy.
