Yamaha 2100e write problem

Hello,

Probelm : I can read from my 2100e Yamaha but can not write a cd.

  1. I have used this drive before without problems.
  2. I have tryed three diff types of cd-r Media and two cd\rw types.
  3. Both winXP and Adaptec clams not to see the black cd-r in my drive when asked to write a file?

Any help?

Does it happen only with “black” cdr’s???

Do you have aspi drivers installed??

DO you have more burning software installed???

aspi drivers installed how do I check this? Can I download them?

I only have WinXP and Adaptec burning programs installed

Once i re installed that ASPI stuff, it works fine.

Any idea of what SOftware I should get to Burn DVD-R I have a DVD-RAM Burner (OEM) It works fine with DVD movies and the Type 1 and 2 DVD-Ram’s It will not see the Black DVD-R’s I need software? But what is the name of one?

Thanks?

I was gonna say, this is a ready made recipie for coasters.

EAC & Feurio! for audio
Nero for mastering
Clone for duping (try Blindsuite & CD Mate as well).

There’s a lot a angst about Blindsuite but it’s due to an inherently unstable system in the first place. I would say that if any burning proggy (LESS ADAPTEC/ROXIO of course) crashes then it’s your OS not the software!
