XviD color space?

I was just wondering if there is a colour space the XviD codec is optimised for. Should I leave the last part of the AVISynth scrtip as ConvertToRGB32() or should I have it encode the file as YUY2 or YV12? Does XviD change to a colour space anyway so conveting before will mean there has to be more than one colour space change?

To my knowledge XviD encodes to YV12 like all other MPEG-4 codecs, so converting to RGB would be pointless.

Cheers, thats exactly what I needed to know. I will leave it converting to YV12 or not converting at all if XviD encodes in YV12 anyway.

Regards and thanks,
