XP Pro Folders

When I open a folder in XP Pro, why doesn’t it always list the contents? Sometimes it has tiles or icons. I change it to list but it doesn’t save the setting. Thanks for your help.

With Explorer, open a folder and set the view you want (ie, list). Then click Tools-Folder Options-View and click the button Apply to All Folders. This works for me.
