[QUOTE=mjmagicjack;2260787]You just can’t replace a DVD drive in a Xbox 360. The DVD Rom drive has a key in the firmware and if the key does’nt match the motherboard it won’t work. You must extract the key from the old DVD drive and use it in another XBox 360 DVD drive. You can also spoof drives etc. It is’nt easy for a newbie. Hi there! I really need to find out how to tell if you have the original dvd key that is married to the motherboard as I have brought a 360 and I dont know if they are married. Is there a simpal way of telling, like a code visible on the circuit boards or an ID sticker or something? What is the best way to tell. Or does the 360 act any differently if the dvd key circuit is not married and has not been flashed to the motherboard? I just need to know because it has red lights and an E74 error code when turned on, but I dont know if this has anything to do with the codes. Basically what comes on the screen if it is not the married key? Pleas can someone reply asap, I need to play!
