I have to ask… why? Why would someone even bother with Office 2013? Basically, all Microsoft did when making this version was remove the Backstage view, and replace it with ugly Metro-like menus. Between the menus, the crappy license, the “genuine” spyware, and the avalibility of Free Software replacements like LIbreOffice, why does anyone even want 2013 in the first place?

Many home users can make do using LibreOffice. The developers of LibreOffice should be commended for all the work they do on it, only asking for donations in return. In enterprise however, MS Office is the gold standard. Many people want Outlook at home because they use and are familiar with Outlook from using it at their work. Additionally, MS Office Pro Plus comes with Outlook and this is currently the best email client in existence.

It seems editing posts from Myce is not available right now but I meant to say "Many people want Office at home because they use and are familiar with Word & Excel from using it at their work.

No it not even in Enterprise it is the standard it is across the board the “Standard” everyone else is trying to beat regardless of what version of M$ Office they have or versions. We shouldn’t kid ourselves that it is only for Enterprise that makes the standard. You get M$ Office cheap being a college student and if you work for company that uses M$ products. M$ Office didn’t get where they were just because of Students or Company discounts to employees. They made a product that everyone wants to beat or emulate-why else would everyone other similar software read .doc or .docx files.
