The Russian hackgroup WZOR has released early versions of the Windows 8.1 Spring Update which can be easily installed and uninstalled

With appologies to Skunks (they’re actually wonderful creatures).

Doesn’t matter how much Chanel No.5 you douse a Skunk with, it still
smells like a Skunk.
Win. 8, and 8.1 stink so much that Skunks smell good by comparison.

Yah but if they bring back the classic start menu, boot to desktop, disable metro interface, and bring back aero then you have a slightly more modern update OS.

They keep rolling these things out piecemeal, they’ll probably call it windows 9.

I’m running that for ages now with Classic Shell and UltraUXThemepatcher…so I don’t need the 8.1 spring update???:bigsmile::wink:

lol probably not… but the new version of Windows would probably gain more acceptance if they included these things without the need for 3rd party software.

I think boot to desktop will be included in the next update.

Not sure about the other three.

Until windows 8.whatever does bring back start from desktop they can keep it whatever they choose to call it…

I"ll believe that when I see it in action and end user state. Otherwise it’s all hype and rumors from M$ to fix their W8 debacle.
