I recently purchased a Wytron 319 Duplicator with the following specification.
Wytron 319 controller (Version 3.21 firmware)
Asus DVD Reader
3 x Pioneer 110 16 X DVD+-Dual Layer writer
However, during boot and in operation, the duplicator only recognises two writers not three. The two drives on the IDE#2 channel are recognised plus the Asus CDRom on IDE#1 channel is also recognised but the writer on this channel is not.
The cabelling and the master/slave configuration are correct. The 'Setup' configuration is set for 3 drives. I have replaced the writers and the CDRom reader but the problem persists.
Incidentally, if I disconnect the 2 writers on IDE#2 Channel, the 'missing' writer on IDE#1 channel is recognised during boot sequence but after booting is not working (the writer itself is OK).
My technical question is, after having worked at this I am left with the conclusion there is some fault with the controller itself. Could someone please advise on the likely cause of this problem and possible solution?
