Hi everyone… totally new here, first post…
I don’t burn much, and therefore I don’t know much about burning.
However, since I’m about to go to a festival, I need music for the road, and I need it in form of an mp3 cd, but my nero doesn’t like me.

I’ve spent like 9 cds already… One kinda works… The others are ruined…

If you guys come up with a solution (which I think you will) please explain to me in a very simple manner, as I am not that bright…

Here goes…

Hello and welcome to cdfreaks,

please update Nero to version 6.6.1.4 and ensure you have the latest IDE busmaster driver installed.

#3

How do I do those? And what is IDE busmaster? Sorry for being such an ubernoob

#4

No problem, mate…

Find out which chipset / IDE busmaster you use:

Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Device Manager > ‘+’ next to ‘IDE ATA/ATAPI-Controller’.
You will see three entries here: ‘Primary IDE Controller’, ‘Secondary IDE Controller’ and the make of your busmaster.

You can find updated drivers for your IDE chipset on the manufacturers’ webpages, like:

Intel: http://downloadfinder.intel.com
VIA: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2
SIS: http://download.sis.com
Ali: http://www.ali.com.tw/eng/support/drivers.php

or contact the manufacturer of your mainboard.

Ok, cool… I upgraded Nero, and I found what busmaster I use (Ali M5229) but the Ali link didn’t work…

Are there any mirrors?
