Write Speed Problem

Hi all, ok, so everything was working fine a few days ago, copied movies fine but now all of a sudden my write speed is 0.4 and it takes like 24 hours to burn a DVD. Obviously there’s something wrong here and I can’t figure it out. I copied a movie 2 days ago no problem. Now everytime I try to burn a DVD it burns at 0.04x. -_-. It says requested 16x and 16x effective, I would like to change this to 4x but that F9 option doesn’t seem to work for me. It doesn’t go any faster than 0.04x which is complete bs.

Is there supposed to be a seperate program in the start menu for CopyToDVD? I only have the CopyToCD.exe in my 1Click DVD Copy folder in prog files. Also when I run the .exe it says that it’s not a free program but I can try it for free. Under that it says that my trial period ended 14 days ago. I can’t get into any options or anything, there’s only 1 button to click which is Buy. Once you click Buy it closes the dialog but never opens the program, I guess you need to install the purchashed version or you can’t even get into option.

I’m using 1Click DVD Copy 4.1.1.8 and I’m assuming CoptToCD is a whole different program but I can’t get into it to see a version or something.

While writing this post I was trying to copy Knockaround Guys and it made a Crash.log file and in there is all this.

The same problem seems to follow me to DVD Shrink. I clicked on Copy DVD Video in CopyToDVD and it came up asking what program I wanted to use and only DVD Shrink was listed, 1Click DVD was not there. So I chose DVD Shrink and it encoded it and did everything but the burning process is still extremely slow. After about 15-20 mins its only at 4%. It says it started burning at 16x but there’s noway this is 16x. Also in the DVD Shrink options, on the last tab, File I/O, Enable burning with Nero is checked. Should I uncheck this or just let it use Nero? Or maybe it has something to do with DMA? There are many different kinds of DMA options available and I didn’t try any other ones besides the default since I never had this problem before. The other options of my DMA are, Ultra DMA 4 - Ultra66, Ultra DMA 3, Ultra DMA 2 - Ultra33, Ultra DMA 1, Ultra DMA 0, Multi-word DMA 2, Multi-word DMA 1, Multi-word DMA 0, and PIO Mode. These are all options but the default is Let BIOS select transfer mode. Do I have to force a DMA mode maybe? Also Enable read cashing, Enable write caching, and Enable command queuing are all unchecked.

Edit
I have a SOHW-1633S.

as for your 1click dvd i would advise an upgrade the current version is 4.2.9.2

with this version the copytodvd is built in so you will not need the seperate version

also in the source and destination box check what version your firmware is and see if this is upto date too

and set dma in your boxes if available

I upgraded my firmware and got the new 1Click DVD Copy Pro and everything seems to be working fine now, back up writing the movies in 20 mins instead of 20 hours :P. Thanks
