Glad CDFreaks changed name and bailed the sinking CD ship just in time

The one good reason of dip in sales could be the use of usb and dvd’d are getting popular these days.

I believe the real cause of lost sales is not piracy or boredom but rather the quality of modern music and performers.
The heydays of good music usually written by the performers themselves and being able to be performed on stage without complex equipment has gone.
In the 60’s and 70’s we used to be assaulted by the magnificent output every week, I never had enough money to buy all the records I loved and wanted.
Today I hardly buy anything due to poor quality and the rip off prices the record producers charge to keep up the CEO’s bonus.:frowning:
The manufactured boy and girl bands are an example and symptom of their greed.

 I agree, the better music was created in the 70’s-90’s, nowadays, the music just isn’t as good as the older days. I do miss the 90’s the most though:disagree:

The music in early and mid 90’s was best and since then it has declined.

ROTFLMAO.

My experience down here in Oz is the following:
Nearly everyone has been put out of work, or had their hours slashed by 30-50%, and businesses with essential goods & services have increased their prices (so people have less excess cash), and business with luxury items have dropped their prices (to spend their little excess cash) … but CD’s remain the same price.

Nuff said :stuck_out_tongue:

The CD format is not dead, but the RIAA has a firm grip on the knife wondering how to twist it, to get the maximum blood out.
