Woohoo new 8x media for the 2500


Found some CMC “CMC MAG E01” today, sold as Memorex DVD+R 8x at Best Buy in 15ct spindles. Guess what NEC-fans? It’s supported in F/W 1.06!!!

Looks to me like NEC has this media fully supported, what a nice surprise!

Dear god - this is impressive…

You can clearly see the 2500 speed zones on the scan, the 6x is the “worst” and 8x the best. And don’t miss that 0.005 PO.

I also noted that this media is very dark blue, almost looks like the old Azo-Blue Verbatim CDR’s.
