Won't power on, Disc stuck

Hi I have a dvd stuck in the dvd drive. I have tried to take the top off the dvd drive but I just keep striping the screws ( I guess these aren't meant to come off, lol). Mine just died after having the U61 problem come up and after several attempts to get the top off the dvd drive it has now died and won't power on. I have a dvd in the drive and now I'm unable to get it out. I know on most dvd drives there is a manual release/eject button. where is it on here or how do I get the disc out with no power?

IF it’s a standard optical pc drive of some sort there should be a emergency release hole somewhere under the tray depending on which drive it is.
you’ll need a stiff wire or pin or something that fits in and if it’s strong enough it should let you physically push open the drive mechanism through the hole.
If it’s some kind of set top dvd recorder some have keystrokes that work when you turn on the box, some MAY have the eject hole but I don’t have any that support it, all my PC drives have one as far as I’m aware.
