I have converted avi's to dvd format and burnt them using winavi, they burnt dvd's won'tplay in either of my DVD players. However, when I copy a dvd using dvdshrink and burn it they work in my players. What's the problem?
Dependant on the AVI itself sometimes WINAVI wont create a properly structured DVD. Try creating the AVI's as MPEG2 Format not DVD and then Author them into DVD Files after.
Can I do this all on Win Avi?
You can select your Output Format as MPEG2 in the Dropdown box that says DVD. WINAVI wont do Authoring though. Nero Vision Express or TMPGEnc DVD Author can then create a functional DVD Structure. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any freeware authoring applications. For a Guide on Authoring look here.
