You would rip them as WAV files to your HD and go from there, as t0nee1 notes. You could then use Audacity (free) to do any WAV trimming.

I meant to type some (maybe 10% of my 600 or so burned discs) were Track As Once TAO.
thanks for all the info. I’m thinking if I can trim some of the songs it’ll save me room on the mp3 player drive in order for me to fit every thing I have on this 160gb player
