I want to create a mp3 data disc that has a specific folder structure. I want the folders on the root of the cd to be 1981, 1982, 1983, and so on. I use WMP (windows media player) 11 for my music management. Most of the time I also use wmp 11 to burn my mp3 and audio discs. Most of the time it is ok because it will use the file information (tags) to create folders on the mp3 disc for me. It uses the artists name and album info to create folders. Since I want to go by year, I'm not sure how to do this or if it is possible using wmp11. I do have nero and of course this is possible, but the problem is I would then have to find the actual mp3 files on my pc and it would take forever. In other words, I want to be able to sort by year all my music in wmp and then select which files to burn and I want them in a folder that corresponds to the year it was released. I know I can sort by year in wmp, but what is an easy way to get them to burn to a certain folder I name (in this case, the years). I thought I had the answer... I opened up nero, select to burn an mp3 disc, I made all my folders... 1981, 82, 83, etc. I thought I would be able to drag and drop out of wmp into nero, but I couldn't. Having to manually find those mp3's through window's explorer would be brutal and time consuming.
