With booktype setting why would i ever want to buy dvd-rs again?

I only use them to play on dvd players (ie video format) so why would i want to buy dvd- media…is inherently the error rates lower with the - media vs the +?:stuck_out_tongue:

if the booktype is DVD-ROM they will play on any dvd player with low burn error rates correct.

if the booktype is DVD-ROM they will play on any dvd player

Not necesarily, but only trial and error will tell. Not all drives are fooled by book-type settings.

maybe we should put up a sticky somewhere with a list of dvd players and if they play dvds fine with bitsetting set to dvd-rom?

all my home players are newer but my parents have a older dvd player thats real picky when i try to play a burned home video on them…even with real low error rates…both + or - have issues.
