I wouldn’t like to have been one of the minimum wage agents at Apples call centre’s that day it was implemented.Â

I use iTunes 10.1 on Windows XP and it still works. Either Apple’s security change has not been deployed to all users or some older versions of iTunes will still work.

I could be wrong (I don’t own any Apple devices), but as far as I can tell there are only 4 things that iTunes can be used for: ripping CDs, syncing data (music, movies, etc.) to/from an iDevice, playing back music/videos, and buying things from the iStore. Except for the last two, I believe all of the above can be done without iTunes (media playback might be an issue, thanks to that usless DRM).
