Hi, i upgraded the ram to 2 -1 gig sticks, system worked fine for a month or two then i received this system 32 error file is missing or corrupt i take the ram out in bay 3 then it boots up leaving just 1 stick in bay 1 if i replace the first stick with the second i receive error again if the ram stick is bad why would i receive this error message, it is windows xp home and its a dell 4600 thanks.gskill ram

i dont know about the error you are receiving, but if your system will boot with only stick A installed but will not boot properly with only stick B installed?

i would first suspect stick B is bad.

I agree you could test this out by booting with only the suspect stick B.

Before you think the one ram is bad try using a pencil eraser on the contacts to clean them(both sides of the module) and try the ram again.
