Hi i have Windows XP Pro and use it on my network.
It is on a client machine the host machine which i use to share my internet connection is using WinRoute which has a built in Firewall.
I am a bit worried about the new MSBLAST worm that has been going about and i know a few friends who have had it infect their pcs.
As i was updating my XP Pro i noticed it had something about the MSBlast worm so i clicked on the link and read the info from M$.
It said i should activate my XP Firewall, do i need to do this seeing as my host machine is Firewall protected?
Also when i used the XP Firewall on my client machine it wouldnt let me access shared files on another XP Client machine i have on my network. Is there a way to put up the firewall but still share my Hard Drives so that only my network can see them and that the XP Firewall doesnt block them.
Thanx in advance.
