Looks like Microsoft made the new Media Player 11 available today. In case you want to try out the new integrated music service with a tasty slice of DRM, the "Urge" is being offered for...

who cares? it's still WMP.
A taste of Vista to keep the masses happy for a little while.
...and its only a beta anyway.
if the restrictions & usability are as bad as wmp11, i wouldn't even try it; the wmp10, it's bloated & too buggy for me...i wouldn't dare to try a beta
Do the custom installation to avoid having the "URGE" store added. What kind of second chakra name is "URGE" anyway? Please. As for the player, this thing still does not play .flac files, at least not natively. Come on Microsoft, catch up.
Ok installed it and now the bottom navigation bar doesn't automatically fade when watching video. Anyone one know how to get that to fade off when it detects no activity.
Sidewinder, it appears that you now have to move your cursor out of the navigation bar. If you leave your cursor in that area - even if you aren't touching anything - it now assumes you've left your cursor there for a reason. Move it up into the screen and the nav bar will vanish as usual after a few seconds of inactivity.
Why use WMP when you have Media Player Classic?
perhaps cause you like media library?
Actually the media library is pretty cool now that I'm playing with it :B
WOW! Huge improvement! Never cared for WM10 (I use Foobar and Winamp) but now I can't wait for the final release and Vista.
Not switching to it as my main player yet, but it is definitely a huge improvement over WMP10. Try it out. It works pretty well. Nicely intergrates with MCE.
