windows 8 wasn’t the only system either. after the latest update from microsoft, including Net Framework 4.5.2, i kept getting a virus warning from Avast. if i didn’t click on the ‘fix automatically’ option, the instances just kept happening, one after the other and all for the same file! i ended up having to find the web installer and running that, first as a repair, which did absolutely no good at all as it kept telling me the files needed were not on the computer. i was left with only the full uninstall option, followed by the full install. thankfully that worked but it is so annoying that whatever updates Microsoft put out, almost without fail, there is something broken as a result. why do they not do proper checks before putting the updates out, instead of leaving it to customers to sort out their screw ups? not everyone is capable of mending their pc afterwards and it’s wrong, in my opinion, for those people to have to then fork out for an engineer to visit.
