A Windows 7 update causes issues with Asus motherboards on some computer. After installing KB3133977 the operating system will no longer start and the UEFI BIOS reports a ‘Secure Boot Violation’.

I had exactly that issue with my Win7 Pro SP1 x64 system on my ASUS Sabertooth X99. If this update only “fixed an issue with Bitlocker”, why not just uninstall KB3133977, if you don’t use Bitlocker and don’t have it enabled in Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate? Seems to me to be one of those updates which should have been labeled “Optional” as not every Win7 installation would need “fixing”.
