[QUOTE=SkipperChaim;2677879]-There is a problem in that the Pro PC won’t “see” the Homegroup created on the Home Premium PC even though they are both wired to a Linksys router. What can’t be seen, can’t be joined.
-The Pro PC had it’s own network previously, which I cannot disable, the button which starts the process is unresponsive.
-The Pro PC and the Home Premium PC used to share the same monitor, and I would switch back and forth. Now they are not switched, you cannot network a switch.

Doing single monitor for your usage is asking for trouble to begin with. Also as other said you need to have one computer to start the homegroup. As for the other if it has a homegroup quit it’s homegroup but only after you main homegroup has started and then use the other computer to join the homegroup. You should really start off with having two monitors instead of one. That doesn’t help to diagnosis or help fix problem on one computer when you can’t see if problems are occurring.
