WINAVI not converting some divx files? help

hay all, ive never had any issue using some of my personal avi files to convert them to dvd files(vob) but today i got 3 avi files which ive checked with gspot and tell me ive got the right codecs installed to play and hear them which i have cause ive viewed all 3…when i select them in winavi it just crashes, telling me microsoft has a problem and needs to close, and then some of my other avi files work fine, and have same codec to encode. what could this issue be?

thanks for help.

Maybe you can email to
They can slove your problem.

Get virtualdub.
This can test all the video frames for errors.

Also sometimes the audio causes encoders to crash. What I then do is extract the audio with Goldwave - there are many others - and save it as a wav file. Then in Virtualdub I disable the old audio & add the new & then resave , setting video to direct stream copy.
