[Win2K] Burning my AW2K install files to CD getting install error with *~1.* files

Hi,

Talk about Newbie !!
First Post.

My Windows 2000 Advanced Server Install Files 5,865 of them are located on 1 of my machines and I want to transfer them to another machine by CD.

Now I’m copying the files to CD with ISO9660 with or without joliet and with or without relaxed settings (nero)

But when I try to install with that CD W2K can’t read the files with the xxxxxx~1.xxx marking on it.

So I think it has something to do with the long filenames, but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Does anyone have an idea ??

Thanks,

Peter

Not really a newbie question I think… :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn’t it smarter to do a clean install on the other machine?
