Win Explorer keeps stopping

I Have a Lenovo K450 2 T HD 16G Ram, i7 CPU, when using internet explorer I am getting several message a day that explorer has stopped working, this does not happen in Chrome or FireFox, using WIN 8.1. Any ideas appreciated.

What version is your IE?
