A strange thing happened. I updated to win 7 sp1 and all of my desktop icons got a box on top of them.(like win3 files)
Any ideas on how to get rid of the box

Are you talking SP1 disc or downloaded SP1 file? And what do you mean box on top of them? But also what kinda hardware are you running with W7???

Post a screenshot, or right chick on your desktop and go to Organize Icon by and select one of the items.
