I think i might need a new motherboard and cpu in that case.
For an upgrade as such, is all i need to buy the mobo, RAM, and a new case? Can i keep my current DVD drive and CD-RW drive, as well as HD? Do i need to get fans and stuff?
Just gimme a list, and some brands as well if possible.
That's a traumatic change. That's why I said to make sure that your bottleneck is the memory performance.
If your computer is working nicely, it might be a good a idea not to make changes (I mean, perhaps the Radeon is enough). A new system might be more problematic.
You would new a new motherboard! (a i845PE for DDR or i865 for Dual DDR), DDR memory (2 modules if you want Dual DDR), and nothing else.
A motherboard is traumatic, anyway. You probably need to reinstall the Operating System. And maybe the Radeon is the only upgrade you really need...
