In the month since this news was reported, Paramount has said that they are not dropping support for HD DVD.

…still there is a good point made. If toshiba does an apple-pc type of ads, they can easily come up with a few pointers how HD-DVD is friendlier than Blu

Sony doesn’t win anything, they just support Blu-Ray. If Blu-Ray wins, the consumer wins. If Toshiba would have won. The consumer would have lost, i couldn’t even wipe my (*) in 15GB (or 30GB DL).

what do you need large optical media for that has spurious quality anyway (HD or BR). Hard drives and RAID are where it is at…the whole size thing for data BR and HD DVD is just a red herring…stop reading the glossies LOL!!! :r

SpeedyJDK, Sony wins the royalties from everyone who releases anything blu ray. Is 45 GB or 51 GB enough for your . ?
