Will the disc unreadable later?

Here is the scan of TYG01…

re-scan the disc at 2x and see how it looks.

Here you go~
So how is the disc… problematic  …?

Do you get those single spikes on other discs?
Also be sure to enable “remove the spike” in Kprobe.

Yes! I have 2 10pack Fuji DVD-R… six of them have the single spikes…
and I have enable “remove the spike”…
I have maxell TYG01, they don’t have the single spike…

Those single spikes are usually not a result of the disc, but some other facter with your reading drive or system. I’ve seen them occur on a hot drive, and go away when the drive cools. Other’s have reported them with bad IDE cables. But sonetimes they just occur. If they were true read errors, you would not expect the disc to be readable at full speed in CDSpeed.

My hunch is that your TY discs are OK, but that’s just a hunch.

Thank you very much! Because I just worried about it as those are quiet expensive media… $1.X per disc…

I find something more… if I burn them using 2X, they won’t have the single spike…

I get those same type of spikes with my 812s but only with dvd-r such as mxlrgo2 or ritek04,no spikes at all with dvd+r for ricoh or sonic 001.My previous burner 411s never had those spikes but the same dvd-r burned with it shows spikes on the 812s with kprobe2.

Actually my drive is 832S, but I find VS05 sucks, so I downgrade it to 812S-US0N…
