dose anyone know if there is a difference between the wifi on the wii and the wifi on the PS3. will an access point made specificly for a PS3 work for my wii
How was the access point made? I would think it wouldn't make a difference.
i haven't made the access point yet. i found a product called thrustmaster wifi key for a ps3 that said it would turn my laptop into a wireless access point that would connect to the ps3. so i was wonder'n if it would also work on a wii system.
I imagine it should work well, just like normal WiFi. The instructions will be tailored to the PS3 or PSP, depending on which version you get, but I imagine any device supporting WiFi with an ounce of conformity to standards would work.
It is better to use an off-the-shelf wifi router than a usb device in your laptop. This way any wifi device can connect to your network-internet without having to use your laptop.
well i was only try'n ta go through the laptop because of my verizon connection through my LG Dare. i found a cradle point router that the Dare would hook strait to but its $90 and the wifi key is only like $20. i was just try'n ta get out a little cheaper if it was posible.
It'll work allright, but in the end i doubt you will like the setup to constantly use wifi this way.
so you think its proly in my best intrest ta save up and get the cradlepoint router
I can't vouch for your situation, but i would defenitely set up a n-router in order to make a wifi network.
yea your proly right if anything ever happend ta my laptop i would be SOL. so is that cradlepoint a good router ta go with or do you recomend one.
I think the cradlepoint routers are the most commonly used with cellphone wifi usb modems. Our building manager has one that they use with an AT&T USB wireless device and I think they're pretty satisfied with it.
yea i think thats what im gona do. hey dose the bluetooth mini adapter work with those routers or do i have ta have hooked up via my usb cord
BlueTooth is something entirely different than WiFi. Just because "something" is using wireless technology it doesn't mean it's compatible with "some other" wireless technology..
so the bluetooth mini adapter that i use to connect my Dare to my laptop won't plug into the usb port on the cradlepoint router and work the same?
