Widescreen set, conversions not in wide screen

Hello,

I recently did a batch of movies:

Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead
The Zodiac
Flags of Our Fathers
Iwo Jima

I created a template and use a 1.78 wide screen res 544X?, i forgot the last part.

Only The Zodiac and Flags came out correctly, with widescreen.

The movies Before and Iwo Jima came out square and condensed, box like.

Is there a reason why this happened or a way I can correct this? Flags and Iwo were made by the same company the same year and are related, so their “stats” are nearly identical.

Thanks!
