I just made a perfect twinpeak copy of "DTM Race Driver" so I don't have to insert my CD all the time. This image works like a charm when burned to a disc. But if I mount the image into Alcohol's imagedrive, it won't start!Could someone help there or is it simply impossible because the HD is too precise so the game detects like twinpeak's cheating it?thanks for help!
Twinpeak patched images are intended to be burnt not run when mounted from a virtual drive. Just run the game from your back-up copy since it appears that that works fine for you.
yeah ok, seems there's no other solution. Just isn't the best solution when I have to swap the CDs all the time.. well thanks anyway
If all you want to do is run the game from an image on your hard drive, you don't need twinpeak patching.
Just make an image with alcohol using securom new 4.x settings and then mount the image on alcohol's virtual drive. It will run fine.
yeah but with alcohol running. Just thought I could get around that. But that's still the better option for me!Thanks!
use blindwrite to read and create a bwi file, then pop'em in the same directory and mount on an alcohol virtual drive.
Just tested it, simple MDS Image with alcohol with DPM and it works without alcohol running or having RMPS emuliation turned on.No need for twinpeaked image then Thanks
