Toshiba now has an instant foot in the door into the enterprise-class hard-disk drive market

February 17, 2009 (Computerworld) With the acquisition of Fujitsu’s hard-disk drive (HDD) business, Toshiba would position itself to become a leading contender in the enterprise-class solid-state disk (SSD) drive market, as well as initially leap to the head of the pack in the 2.5-inch HDD space, say industry observers.

Oh, so not the tax deductions available because of massive losses then.
Fujitsu makes great stuff, toshiba makes crap. I’d be surprised if any enterprise deploys toshiba storage devices after their foot in the door purchase.
