Most of times this is due to a low quality disc.
Too bad, only Verbatim Dl discs proved to be good enough, and all other brands give a lot of problems (some discs are not burnable at all and the drive cannot complete tie writing).
Try again with a Verbatim disc: this should solve.
Another possible cause is that you are using a DVD -R DL disc. Not all standalone players are able to read these discs, and the only solution is to use a DVD +R DL disc, and again a Verbatim is better.
