Why does Microsoft make Windows XP Home Developed Activation for Insult Customers…this OS is for PC and, won’t run on a mac at all…
.so, most likely people who pay little will be practically be insulted for making
a serial that won’t ever by simple copy & paste so, they make you
enter a 25 digit number and, letters to see if you can read it…
Doing a phone activation with XP can be very hard to do cause
you have to be a brilliant person to understand it. They make you
enter alot of info about your PC…that…nvm on that…pass…
we can all read it… sometimes It can say: Error processing Activation
please try again. Now, a “O” and, “0” are almost the same and, if you
don’t have good vision this error will remake you enter the serial again!
If you buy the XP Pro sp3 + XP Plus Bundle there is no activation or serial
even required… If windows XP is for PC, this is not right to
a customer.

The Newbie forum is hardly the place for a rant against Microsoft activation. If you have a genuine question for us Macrovision3500, please ask it. Else this thread is destined for quick closure.

Okay, I didn’t realize that there is a general area of software talk on the forum
which I read skimmed quickly for anyway.
since the newbie area asks dumb questions. Since there is really no
activation issue if you do what your told the OS will be fully activated.
I don’t criticize MS at all because there versions of Windows that don’t even
have the enter serial anyway.
anyway so, moving this would be perfectly fine. I mean this in the most
polite way possible Kerry.

I don’t really see the point in moving this thread. Closing it, however, is an option that is becoming more and more attractive.

The Newbie area is not the appropriate area for chatting about software. If you had a question on activation procedures, or if you wanted help of some sort, I see no problem with answering you here.

I simply see no purpose to the thread other than a way of displaying your dissatisfaction with some of Microsoft’s procedures. If there is a point beyond that please fill us in. Otherwise I’ll close it.
