I’m 99.9% positive they are CMC MAG.E01, judging by this: http://www.cmcdisc.com/hp_dvdr.htm
There is a slight chance the 10 pack in the slim jewel cases could be MCC 003.

are those beter than Taiyo Yuden T01
because i dont know what to chose

CMC +R is decent, but hardly better than Taiyo Yuden.

Last night I saw HP DVD 4x +R and -R at Staples store for around $30 (sorry forgot the exact number), can’t find it online. Anybody knows what the media ID?

I also saw HP 48x CDR 700MB 50pack for $9.94 (available online). I’m looking at my old stock of HP CDR 650mb/74min and it’s Taiyo Yuden.

cheers.

I think most all HP media is going to be CMC.

Staples has some 25-pks on sale for $15 and I was wondering who made them so I know if I should consider buying them. I need to know both the - and the + r.

This has been discussed many times. A search would have answered your question.
It’s CMC-made media.

#9

If your buying CMC (HP) I would stay with the DVD+Rs they are better quality.

I did search but the search won’t accept a word as short as HP.

Look here http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm where cmc magnetics is ranked. I would stay away. Would you rather spend 80 cents per disc and have a 95 to 100% chance of a good rip/burn or spend 40 cents a disc and have only a 40 to 50% chance of a good rip/burn? Its more cost effective to stay with good quality (proven) media. Just my 2 cents.

That digitalfaq list is out of date.
The information is no longer valid with current media.
CMC is pretty good stuff lately.
HP CMC discs are usually grade A good stuff.
