Which Quad Core Motherboard?

so it looks like my mobo has failed me...I am looking to take this opportunity to upgrade my mobo..I was wondering which quad core mobos i should look at. also..i need it to be able to take 4 sticks of ram, 1GB DDR PC3200 400mhz type ram. not sure what I should be looking at. any help is appreciated

Nothing that takes a quad core motherboard will use DDR1 pc3200 ram. In fact, there are very few new motherboards available that use the older style ddr1.

Everything has gone to ddr2, and is moving towards ddr3.

You would have a hard time finding a board using DDR1 at all unless you go eBay

That’s for sure I had a hard time replacing a couple of mine here lately, Finally went up to the new Quad on one machine and it will be outdated before I can get it tuned up right.
Got several boxes of old ram myself lying around.
