Hello
i have an asus 52/24/52 (firmware1.2) which is very annoying about media quality.
I have old traxdata 12x and memorex 8x but it’s :Z

I want to order some 48-52x media. Which media should i buy ? btw i’m in France (cd are really expensive here !!).

I will order from luxembourg : eurotape cd

here is an sample of their media :

FUJI CDR 80min 52X 0.79 euros each ( 1euro = 1 $ )
SONY CDR 80min 40X 0.91 " "
TDK CDR 80min 48X 0.68 " "
VERBATIM CDR 80min 48X CRYSTAL SUPER AZO (spindle) 0.59 each cd

which one should i choose ?

i really need some help here !

thx in advance !

Lucky ! Buy excellent ,rare find Fuji’s 52x . (Germany made or Japan (TY)) - Very well behavior in most brands of CDRW.
Avoid strange behavior of Sony CDRs ,and as a second choice only buy Verbatim’s if “made in Ireland” by Mitsubishi ! .
Finally TDK’s CDRS vary in Europe . I don’t like these ones made TDK-OEM in France , but those have Ritek Atip !

I think i will buy a lot of cd, so thank you very much for u advice !
0.79 euros is not cheap for a cd but if it’s top quality, i must pay the price, isn’t it ?

why must the verbatims be made in ireland??? my taiwan verbatims work just fine. the “made in mexico” are the trublesome type.

Verbatim’s CDRs “made in Taiwan” are rare find ,i think in all European market .Also hard to find are “Verbatim” Pastel color CDRs 40x made by TY in Japan (if not found them expensive enough ,but are excellent too…)
Verbatim easy find CDRS are always “made in India” ,but the quality of these vary LOT to LOT also price too, shop to shop…so I don’t trust them !

Yes it’s expensive because are new in market quaranty 52x.Maybe if ask for 50 pieces CDR spindle costs less in each …Also look for Plextor’s CDRS 48x ,now wide available in europe.
I think spindle of 50 CDRS are better in price/quality (as I suppose from our limited market in Greece, costs 20 euro) .
Able burn @52x without errors using LTR-52246S ,and original “made in Japan” by TY

I’m also looking for new cdr medias for my ASUS 5224A firmware 1.20

I’m planning to purchase Mitsui Gold Ultra from Germany
http://www.brennbar.org price: approx 1,28 €/pc.

Please - Has anyone tried that combination of burner and media?

i have an asus 52/24/52 (firmware1.2) which is very annoying about media quality

Please clarify: What do you mean by annoying?

If you mean "M-ame’ made in France (label as “Mitsui Gold Ultra”)
I think it’s expensive as value for money .
‘M-ame’ made discs are not good in resistance as original (and hard find) Mitsui Japan
