Which is the best choice?

Hi,

I have a plexor for music and I wanted to get a LiteOn for game backups. Which is the best choice for backups?

Speed or oc does not interest me if the difference is from 20 minutes to 20 secs for backups. However, it would if the difference is between 20 hours and 20 minutes.

What is important is a perfect backup that will work as "normally" as the original. I have read some good reviews at cd freaks, but this forum is replete with good and not so good personal experiences.

My first impulse was just to buy the latest and greatest LiteOn. However, I realize now that for my narrow interest, all LiteOn's are not created equal.

Below is LiteOn Website's list.

LTR-0841 8X/4X/32X E-IDE CD-RW, VAS mechanism
LTR-1240 12X/4X/32X SCSI-III CD-RW
LTR-12101B 12X/10X/32X E-IDE CD-RW, BURN-Proof®, VAS
LTR-12102B/C 12X/10X/32X E-IDE CD-RW, Buffer Under Run Free,
LTR-16101B/C 16X/10X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, BURN-Proof®, VAS
LTR-16102B/C 16X/10X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, VAS
LTR-24102B 24X/10X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART-X,
LTR-24103S 24X/10X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART-X,
LTR-32123S 32X/12X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART-X,
LTR-32125W 32X/12X/40X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART
LTR-40125S 40X/12X/48X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART-X,
LTR-40125W 40X/12X/48X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART
LTR-48125W 48X/12X/48X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART
LTR-48126S 48X/12X/48X E-IDE CD-RW, SMART-BURN®, SMART-X

Which is the best for my purposes? Any help is appreciated since I am confused by all the choices.

The 32125W. It is cheap and you can update it to 48X.

Anything >24x will do. Get the fastest for your budget. And as Nicowico said, a 5W can be upgraded.
What do you mean by “normally”?
