Which dvd writer from this list?

Hello I'm pretty competant with computers and I've always considered dvd writers to be the same. I just buy any brand.

My dad has asked me to buy him one so I wanted to make sure I bought a decent quality drive. He will be burning dvds with it.

Can someone suggest the best drive fromt his list?

I would go for one of the Sony Optiarc (NEC) drives, but I would instead buy it for Â£5 less from Play.com. You can get the AD-7280S model (best features vs value for money) from Play.com for Â£12.81 all inclusive (free delivery):

I had to go out and get it before the store closed so didn’t have a chance to see what you had suggested. I went for the Pioneer DVR-S19LBK in the end… Hopefully it does the job!
