Can anyone tell me which is the best DVD burning software on the market? I realize that these are just your opinions but I need help.
I want to convert movies to DVD, store mp3 to dvd, store backup data on dvd.
I am looking for the easiest to install, use, gives best results, and lowest cost.
Any help is appreciated.

i would probably say nero 7, but it does take up alot of processing power when burning
Roxio Easy Media Creator is the best. For converting Movies to ISOs you should try VSO Convert X to DVD. If you want a menu and stuff like that use Roxio. Roxio also has a lot of other tools just look on their site.

In my opinion the best method is to use nero to create ISO files, and then use imgburn to write the ISO on the discs.
Nero is often available with the burner itself, and the express version is sufficient to create ISOs.

Brilliant geno888 you’ve edited your post without doing anything. 
I suggest Ashampoo Burning Studio 6. It has all the standard burning functions of nero burning rom. Plus, it support unicode and it’s slim size.
However, if you need the extra features, such as video conversion, audio editing, packet writing, benchmark tools, etc…, you need nero burning rom.
I have been using this software for a while normally as my backup just in case Nero did not burn properly and I don’t want another coaster. i have always been able to burn great discs and the support is great emailed them and they fixed it and emailed me back with in 3 hours. How impressive.

Yeah Roxio EMC 8 Has alot of bugs especially in their dvd burning. Cd burning isnt that bad though. Stick with nero.
ONES!!! what else??? It is really cheap, has most fuction you need, and is extremelly light!!! The few features it does not support can be found in some free logs!!! You can have a 1 mnth free trial (see my sig).
I want to be able to create slide shows, make my own DVD movies from the digital movies that I take with my camera. I want these movies to have chapters and all of the things that the commercial DVDs have.
Will Nero do that? If not which one will?
You need Mpeg Video wizard for editing your home movies, this software is great and it allows you to add music on your movies as well as keeping your original soundtrack.
For menus, chapters and subtitles Ulead Workshop 2 (which also allows you to mix video and slideshows together).
The finished result is a professional looking DVD.
