Which drives are support Advanced Disc quality Scanning?

I’m trying to find a second hand drive which is capable of Advanced Disc Quality scanning .
I know BenQ can do it but here i couldn’t find it.
What other drives can i buy ?
can philips or OEM BenQ like sony Dru-810 do this advanced scanning ?

Hi,

you need to crossflash to Benq firmware in order to have the scanning capabilites.

Please read the Benq FAQ for a list of Benq clones.

The BenQ DW1640 would be the best model to get for this task. It, along with the DW1650 and DW1655, are the only drives that support advanced quality scanning with Nero tools.

Models that would be the same as the DW1640 once crossflashed:

Philips DVD8701

Plextor PX-740A

Sony DRU-810A (you must find out if the drive is a DRU-810A or DRU-810A-R; the DRU-810A-R is a DW1650)

Blonde moment. I mixed up the fact that the DW162x doesn’t have SolidBurn with the idea that it doesn’t do ADQ scanning.

The DW820, 822 and DW1600 can also support this function but I guess they are even more difficult to find

Are those Nexperia chip drives? It seems that BenQ didn’t really get noticed until the 1620 hit the market.
