SD-M1612 TOSHIBA INTERNAL DVD ROM, 16X DVD, 48X CD ROM

LITE-ON LTD-163 SPEED

For Clonecd and Audio ripping including audio protections

Both rock actually. The Lite-On DVD is however a lot faster with audio than the Toshiba. Both drives can read the full SubChannel Data without problems. I have the Toshiba SD-M1502 myself and I love it. It is however rather slow when ripping protected/encrypted DVD’s. I don’t know if the same goes for the 1602 model. Read this thread for a little review of the drive.

Thanks for the information

I would rather get the Toshiba but it is dissappointing that it rips DVD at 2x … thats preet bad actually

My Toshiba 6602b is spinning and stopping and I think will break soon so I thought instead of replacing it with another CDrom I would just get a DVDrom

I usually buy from Newegg.com and those are the two drives I am looking at

Any other advice
