I was looking at sata drives on Newegg and according to the reviews in this forum narrowed down my choices either a gh20ns15 or 216DBK. Which drive is better at burning dvd-r media? Thanks

both drives are not very good -R media on my test result ( BenQ Scan )
I recommend Optaric 72XX Series Very good +/-R test result with Lite-On and BenQ Scan

I only see the optiarc 7220s and 7221s at newegg. How do those two compare to the 7200s?

I just found the answer. The 7220 versions are using a liteon drive. Searching is really helpful. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m mainly going to use the drive for dvd-r media but I still have some +R left. How does the 7200s perform with +R? Thanks again.
