I am looking for a new CD/RW. I would like to know which one is best to make backup of games. I have heard that Liteon should be good, but are there some specific model I should get??

Guess I am going to use Blindwrite 5.

Is i also possible to get a CD/RW that can play DVD Discs??

I’d go for either the Asus or the Lite-on drives (52x). The Plextor Premium has some extra features you might or might not need but its more expensive

There are a number of different 52x models, which one should I go for and which one have DVD read??

LiteOn LTR 52327S: 52x / 52x / 32x / 2MB

LiteOn SOHC-5232K 50x (CD) / 16x (DVD) / 52x / 16x / 2MB
This one is the most expensive!

not sure where you are located but you can get from Staples this weekend a IOMagic DVDWriter for $89 USD out the door…shrinkwrapped box is usually an Optorite and non-shrinkwrapped box is a BTC 1008IM…it burns CDs at 40x…

If you don’t want DVD playback from the drive then get the LTR-52327S
