Which brand of CDR to use with Yamaha?

Hello there,

One of my friends has bought a Yamaha CD-writer. It seems that those writers have difficulties with writing on certain types/brands of CDR.

Is there someone who can tell me which brand he thinks is best (and cheapest) to use with Yamaha?

Thank you very much

The Only Disk’s I use for my Yamaha 4416E are Silver Sony’s.

They are the Same Price where I live as the piece of shit Verbatim and Other’s.

I would only recomend Sony or TDK, in my experience they are the Best.

Love ya all… eh

I have a Yamaha 4260, and every brand works, but Philips Silver Premium are the best.

I have a Yamaha 6416 and a 4416.
So far no type of CDR gives a problem.

On the 4416 i have burnt a lot of CDR types.
But on the 6416 i only burnt Arita, Lead data, Yamaha, Sony, Samsung, And some cheep CDR’s no label. No probs during writing and reading.
Only for PSX i use gold CDR’s.

I use the following cds : Philips silver Premium74 and Arita CD-r High Density `80 min and I have no problems at all.
To burn I use NERO 4.0.5.6 and CDRWIN 3.7f and occasional EASY CD CREATOR DELUXE 3.5.
I hope this helpes you a little bit

Thank you all for your reply’s.
It seems that Yamaha is perfectly capable of writing on any brand of CDR.
