Whether to crossflash or not (Mad Dog Multimedia SATA MD-20XSTFI)

[qanda]This thread is about the Mad Dog Multimedia SATA MD-20XSTFI. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I HAVE A PROBLEM / QUESTION:
I have a Mad dog MD-20XSTFI drive which is supposed to be a ts-h653b, or therefore a samsung sh-s203b. I am wondering whether to crossflash it or not, it has the original MD00 firmware which seems to work well (on verbatim dl 8x i get 7.8x(max) using dvdfab, and with sl I get up to 11.1x or so), but I am wondering what people who have a sammy s203b with sb04 are getting as far as quality and speed, I do not want to take a chance on losing a firmware which cannot be replaced (mad dog is out of business) or take a chance on ruining my drive, but if the preformance is better with sb04 then I hope someone will share their experiences with me… and any suggestions??? THANK YOU

Hi,
You are long enough member to know not to post the same several times: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f105/dell-tsst-ts-h653b-samsung-sh-s203b-crossflash-success-244305/#post2162352 (now trashed) :cop:

To your question. The answer is simple: If you are satisfied with the overall performance of your drive, then leave it as is.
