Sorry to say, a Sony DRU-720A.
Suckered into the Sony name. Just found out today that it should always be on the master IDE channel. I had it on slave and had quite a few coasters, and was also limited to 6X.
When it dies (or I when I brick it flashing the firmware ) I will replace it with something nicer (maybe a Plextor).

Oh and one more thing, on NewEgg it says the Verbatims have no stack ring in the spindle. What does that mean? I just dont want the CD's to be all scratched up from shipping.
EDIT: And am I correct in saying that DVD+R's are more reliable than DVD-R's (due to their pitting methods)?
